Nederlands Dans Theater

Last Saturday we went to watch the Nederlands Dans Theater at the Teatro Arriaga . It was the first company ( NDT I ), and they danced the following programme :

• Whereabouts Unknown ( Jiri Kylian)
• Wings of Wax ( Jiri Kylian )
• Shutters Shut ( Lightfoot León )
• Signing off (Lightfoot León )

There was a fair amount of people in the theatre. Quite a few young girls coming from a ballet academy, who, of course, got a shock when they realized that you couldn´t see a single tutu on stage. The worst for me was a little girl, barely three years old. I agree that kids must go to the
theatre, but in this case the poor thing was bored to death and kept playing in the ground and asking when it would be finish. There was a few invitations, too.

I liked it, but I have seen better things. Maybe I am not a real connoiseur of modern ballet, but I really enjoyed much more the Leipzig Ballet past April.We saw a magnificent choreography based on Bach andMendelsohn ...
